Acquisition/Provenance: Webb’s Decorative Arts August online sale, 17 August 2021, lot 389. Cat. Note/Ref.: The robed Buddha seated in a vajrasana position on a lotus base. The head with a top knot and elongated lobes, the face painted with a meditative look. The hands in a bhumisparsha mudra. The robe engraved and patinated, opened to reveal the right chest revealing belted amulets. Dimensions: H.34.5cm
